Who am I ……
Chadd R. Habersham
I am a dedicated, dependable professional committed to community service and problem-solving, with specialized knowledge in Fire Science, emergency medical techniques, and centrifugal pump operations. My dedication to uplifting the underserved is personal: I am deeply motivated to help those in the community and advocate for critical support services due to my own experience with close family members being incarcerated and then having to reacclimate to society after being placed in group homes. This lived experience fuels my passion to support organizations providing services to low-income housing and individuals pursuing successful reintegration.
🔥 Public Safety and Stewardship
My commitment to public safety and direct community impact is demonstrated through over a decade of experience as a city firefighter. I currently serve as a Senior Firefighter/Hazardous Material Technician for the Fire service since January 2013, with both Winston and Greensboro. My key duties include:
Performing essential firefighting duties, such as combating and extinguishing fires, rescue, ventilation, salvage, and overhaul procedures.
Providing basic life support (BLS) procedures (CPR, defibrillation, airway advancement, etc.) while responding to medical calls.
Conducting rescue operations, including, but not limited to, vehicle rescue.
Serving on the state regional response team for hazardous material.
💰 Financial Acumen and Client Advocacy
My public service is complemented by a solid background in financial management and client solutions, providing skills crucial for the operational stability of a charitable organization:
Licensed Personal Banker at Wells Fargo (April 2011–January 2013): I opened and closed various financial accounts for personal and small business customers, initiated wire transfers, reviewed credit reports, and compiled loan documents. I met and established relationships with community leaders and organizers.
These combined skills in emergency management, financial compliance, and a profound personal commitment to second chances make me uniquely qualified to contribute to the safe, stable, and sustainable success of charity and community housing initiatives.
